Philip taught mathematics and physics at North York and Ryerson College, in Toronto, for ten years and was the author of a textbook in physics. After immigrating to Israel, he worked as an optoelectronic scientist in a startup company, as general manager of a technical documentation firm, and as an educational software developer, before becoming a patent attorney.
